Vanessa Warfield - Whip

This is VENOM Agent Vanessa Warfield. Vanessa is the second in command of VENOM and earned her position by being one of the most competent and consistently successful members of the team.

Vanessa has no codename or even a nickname among the team members. At least none that are said to her face. A staunch feminist Vanessa not only believes that woman are the equal to men but their superiors in many ways and sees most men as her inferiors or playthings. The one man she has shown any real respect or reverence for is Miles Mayhem and considers him a great leader and one of her few equals.

Vanessa often trades insults with her fellow teammates or makes snide remarks to them during missions and she especially takes great pleasure in riling up the macho Bruno Sheppard who she considers to be a muscle-bound male chauvinist.

Despite her superior and snarky attitude Vanessa is well respected by VENOM for her competent leadership qualities and skills at espionage and intelligence. Very little is known for sure about her background except that she's had CIA or MI-6 level training at being a spy and more often than not is responsible for the majority of the intel VENOM gets for each mission.

A master of disguise as well as fluent in several foreign languages and dialects, Vanessa has the ability to blend in to most any area whether it be a marketplace in India, an office in England or a Military instillation she has the uncanny ability to slip in, get what she needs and slip out before anyone is any the wiser.

Her chameleon like ability to blend into any given area also makes her hard to catch and even harder to incarcerate for any length of time.

Vanessa has also shown great skill as a pilot of fixed wing aircraft and helicopters and seems to have had extensive combat training in both types of vehicles. Vanessa has also trained to pilot space craft like NASA shuttles as part of one of VENOM's plots to steal one but this was ruined by MASK before she could put her skills to use.

Vanessa also exhibits tactical driving skills with any land vehicle she has driven making her a dangerous opponent on land as well.

Vanessa has a strange love/hate relationship with MASK agent Brad Turner. Despite her hatred of MASK and all that it stands for Vanessa often becomes distracted by Brad's constant taunts and playful flirting with her over the radio frequencies during battles and has been nursing a strong crush on her enemy because of this, his impressive pilot and motorcycle skills in combat and his reckless showboating which she thinks he does to get her attention sometimes.

Vanessa's feelings for Brad confuse and infuriate her at times since he seems to represent all the things about males she can't stand but for some reason she finds him charming and has sometimes even let him go when she could clearly annihilate him during the course of a battle.

Despite her soft spot for Brad she hasn't let it override her sense of commitment to VENOM and her dedication to the missions for the organization.

Vanessa pilots Manta, a Nissan 300ZX that converts into an assault plane. When in plane mode Manta is powered by two wing-mounted turbine engines and three rear-mounted miniature ramjets for added boost making it highly maneuverable and extremely fast.

On the tips of the dual raked wings are miniaturized M61A1 Vulcan Gatling Guns that use a linkless feed system that fires 20 mm ammo at around 100 rounds per second.

The forward canard wings are mounted with short burst high intensity laser cannons that can cut through armored transport planes as well as conventional aircraft and vehicles

The headlights convert into forward mounted cannons that can fire intense plasma bursts capable of punching holes into aircraft fuselage as well as other denser materials.

part of the hood of the car slides forward revealing a rack of three miniature "trident" infrared homing (heat seeking) missiles that can be fired all at once or one at a time. The rack can be reloaded automatically once all missiles have been launched. Manta carries 12 in it's forward compartment counting the three already loaded in the rack.

Manta also has a passenger side "ejector seat" for quick escapes. The seat itself is a miniature turbofan powered sky sled with twin .50 cal. machine guns mounted on the wings. The seat drops out of the bottom of Manta and can fly or glide for short distances enabling the pilot to land safely if the main Manta craft is too damaged to fly.

The Sky Sled can be controlled manually or from the Manta craft itself enabling the pilot to send it or passengers out during flights and return to the main craft via a pre programmed homing beacon.

Vanessa Warfield wears Whip Mask which shoots out an electronic whip from the forehead of the mask. The whip itself is a super strong microfilament of experimental material that can obey the mental commands of the wearer.

The whip itself constantly carries a glowing blue electrical current along it's entire length that can inflict pain or shocks on low intensity, stun like a taser gun or even electrocute an average human being depending on the desire of the wearer though shocks intense enough to kill can drain the mask more rapidly than tasering or standard shocks and whipping motions.

When fully powered the whip itself has incredible tensile strength and when cracked like an actual whip it can cut or smash through most standard building material or something as sturdy as a safe or an armored car door.

The when fully powered and extended the whip can constrict around a human being and can squeeze the breath from them and even break ribs or it can simply throw them several yards away from the wearer. The whip also has amazing dexterity and has been shown to be able to pick locks and quickly snatch fragile objects out of the hands of people without damaging them or the object itself.

The mask itself is insulated from the electrical current and Vanessa's suit is a shock proof skin-tight rubber based material that protects her from any and all electrical shocks. Vanessa's uniform is also insulated to keep her body warm during flight and if need be can use the energy from the whip mask to power it's miniature heating units.

Whip Mask is equipped with an airtight seal and breathing equipment that can cycle oxygen to the wearer when piloting open canopy aircraft. The lenses of the mask itself can tint to protect the wearer from bright sunlight as well as the intense glow of the whip itself when in use. Vanessa is incredibly skilled with this mask as well as a conventional whip.

Vanessa also carries two 45. automatic pistols and is an adept marksman.

Vanessa is also the co-pilot of Switchblade, Jackhammer and Piranha when the need arises.
