General Zod: I am General Zod. Your ruler. Yes, today begins a new order. Your lands, your possessions, your very lives, will gladly be given in tribute to me, General Zod! In return for your obedience you will enjoy my generous protection. In other words you will be allowed to live.
I love the first two Superman movies from 1978 and 1980. I never cared for the comic version of Superman that much but I loved those movies since the first two tell an epic story with an equally epic assortment of villains. Sure, Lex Luthor is awesome in both but General Zod was pure awesome to me.
When I saw the DVDs of the Donner Cut of the original films I fell in love with the characters even more since the original intention of the director was to make the storyline more serious and make the trio of Phantom Zone villains in it absolutely cruel, evil and a match for Superman power for power.
I defy anyone to watch Superman 2 and not run around afterwards screaming "Son of Jor-El! Kneel before ZOD!"

I decided to show the hulking mute Non (left) the cruel General Zod (center) and the badge obsessed man-hater Ursa (right) after they devastated a small town and the US Military who came to defend it.
Superman, Lex Luthor, Phantom Zone, General Zod, Non and Ursa copyright DC Comics.
Thanks, I love the first two Superman movies
Yes, but I have yet to see the Richard Donnor cut.
I got the Richard Donner Cut and it's awesome. Totally different movie compared to the one we got though you have to sort of forgive parts of it since they only had raw screen test footage to work with for some of it.
Yeah, Goku's grandpa found him in the jungle next to a space pod/ship. He Grows up to fight a lot of strong foes including King Piccolo, his son, The Red Ribbon Army, Tien Shinhan. (I was never fan until I saw the abridged series) In the beginning of DBZ Goku's Raditz tells him that he is a Sayian (i can never spell that right) a warrior alien race. Then Napa and Vegeeta come to Earth and cause destruction.
It's a really cool series. But I wanted to start from Dragon Ball and not just DBZ like most of the western audience.
That's cool. It's funny how they borrowed all of those concepts from the Superman mythos.
