Taj Nital

 

The towering Taj Nital, his wife and his son Adri lived in a small village in Jajpur, India when Dracula, leading a group of vampires attacked his village. Taj fought fiercely against the vampires to protect his family and even attacked Dracula himself.

  Despite his valiant efforts Taj was unable to prevent the vampires from crippling his wife and turning his boy Adri into a vampire. Rachel Van Helsing had been tracking Dracula and managed to save Taj before the vampire could rip his throat out as well as destroyed the vampire that had turned Adri into a vampire. Taj’s life was saved but his throat injury left him irreversibly mute for the rest of his life.

 Taj’s wife was crippled in the attack and bound to a wheelchair. She irrationally blamed Taj for the fate of their son and believed Adri could be cured of his vampirism. Taj's wife had their son bound to a bed surrounded by crucifixes and garlic and fed him blood from her self or donated by villagers and fed intravenously to the boy to keep him “alive.”

 In gratitude to Van Helsing and also to seek revenge on Dracula, Taj left India with Rachel and joined Quincy Harker’s core group of vampire hunters and became Van Helsing’s personal body guard and close friend. During their time together Taj constantly put himself in harms way to protect Rachel, Quincy and their newest recruit Frank Drake and despite helping them kill Dracula several times the vampire lord always cheated final destruction.

 After five years of adventuring with the vampire hunters Taj received a telegram from his wife in India begging him to come home. Realizing his responsibilities lay with his real family Taj left England and returned home.

 Upon his return to his home Taj’s wife informed him that recently the villagers had stopped donating blood fearing Adri would eventually grow too strong to contain, break free and slaughter them. Taj’s wife finally realized there was no cure for her son and only wished for his suffering to end.

 Taj decided he must destroy the boy himself but before he could act the villagers stormed his house and staked Adri with a silver knife in his heart finally destroying him and ending his existence as a vampire.

 Taj took his son’s remains and buried them under a large tree on a hill overlooking the village. At their son’s grave side Taj and his wife finally reconciled and both returned to their home to start the lives together anew.
