Chassey Blue - Gridlock

Chassey Blue is a former beauty queen who decided to become a member of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) in Washington D.C. Chassey eventually rose to the rank of secret agent going on undercover operations for the agency.

 When the Coyotes began their campaign of terror across the Midwest Chassey was assigned to track them down after their raid on Site-4 gave them access to advanced weaponry. The government outfitted her 1967 Rattler with Gridlock, an experimental weapon developed by their labs that launches an expanding grid of energy flares that combust on impact with any vehicle discharging an experimental gas that is capable of temporarily stalling and damaging almost any engine they come in contact with.

 When the Coyotes took over Busted Hump Ski Resort located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and took hostages, Chassey was sent to resolve the situation peacefully if possible but she was attacked by Houston 3 when the Vigilante’s showed up as well.

 After the intense battle on the slopes the Coyotes and Vigilantes escaped and Chassey having never experience combat like this was badly shaken up by the ordeal. Disillusioned by what happened Chassey quit the F.B.I. deciding she needed a vacation. Chassey begins heading for California when she runs afoul of the Coyotes again as they rampaged through the Canyon Lands on Route 191 Near La Sal Junction in Utah.

 Teaming with the Vigilantes Chassey helped them defeat the Coyotes but instead of following the Vigilantes she became determined to get away from the madness of the their war. While traveling through Nevada Chassey decided to go to Casino City, Las Vegas to relax and flaunt her style only to run afoul of Boogie who was in town for the Disco Mania Awards and the other Coyotes who were attempting to raid the Galaxy Hotel and Casino.

 Once again caught in the Coyotes and the Vigilantes war Chassey was once again forced to do battle with the Coyotes in order to survive and protect the city’s main wedding chapel from destruction in the process.

 Once the dust settled and both parties escaped Chassey became bound and determined to make it to California for her vacation. Finally arriving in the windmill lined San Joaquin Valley in California Chassey was mesmerized by the beautiful farms and orchards that dotted the valley’s interior.

 Chassey’s tour was short lived when the insane Beezwax attacked her as well as the farm with his mutated bees. Chassey battled Beezwax and defeated him. Deciding to cash in on her fame Chassey went to Hollywood and pursued an acting career where she wrote and starred in a movie based on her exploits in the F.B.I. and her adventures with the Vigilantes.

For Chassey’s car I was originally going to go with the 1967 Shelby Cobra but I instead went with the 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe since I felt its body, lights and hardtop resembled the in game vehicle more closely, especially in the FMV sequences and the booklet.

In the 1970s the world was suffering from a world wide oil shortage. The USA was heavily dependant on affordable gasoline and was on the verge of an economic breakdown. Strikes, riots and crime were running rampant and all available law enforcement were brought into metropolitan areas which left the outlands unprotected.

The Oil Monopoly Alliance Regime (OMAR), a foreign multinational oil consortium had it's sights set on monopolizing the worlds oil trade and it's biggest opponent was the USA which opposed OMAR's price fixing schemes. 

Bent on forcing the USA to its knees OMAR hired terrorist Sid Burn to go to the US and commit acts of mass destruction and chaos designed to send the country's economy over the edge. Sid immediately traveled the American Southwest and formed a gang called the Coyotes and began targeting American oil refineries, alternate energy sources and terrorized and robbed small towns and settlements along the way.

With nobody to turn to for help, a ragtag group of citizens victimized by the Coyotes led by the trucker known as Convoy banded together as The Vigilantes, who quickly became a major thorn in the Coyote's collective side.

Desperate to get an edge on his enemies and looking for a way to cause more destruction, Sid Burn heard the rumors of advanced weapons based on UFO technology housed at the mysterious government installation called Site-4 located somewhere near Papoose Lake, Nevada.

Ambushing Site-4 Sid's robbery went bad when the Vigilante's unexpectedly showed up and as a result the world's most advanced weaponry found it's way into the hands of both parties.

With their normal vehicles modified into rolling engines of destruction the Coyotes and Vigilantes now wage a war across the American Southwest with the fate of the USA hanging in the balance.
